No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.

An Acolyte assists in the worship service by carrying either the processional cross or a torch. If trained, they can also serve as a thurifer (one who carries the incense). It is a wonderful way to participate in the worship service. All ages, once old enough to carry the torch (approx. 9yrs and up) are welcome to be a part of this ministry. Training is required. To join, the time commitment is usually one Sunday morning per month. The only meetings we hold are the training sessions that we hold as needed.
