Ichthus (or Ichthys) joined the staff at St. Luke’s on April 8, 2024.

In his spare time, Ichthus enjoys eating and swimming. His favorite bible verse is Matthew 4:19. He is currently hosting a Swedish exchange student named Sven.  Those closest to him call him “Icky.”

The use of the Ichthys symbol by early Christians appears to date from the end of the first century C.E.
Ichthus (ΙΧΘΥΣ, Greek for fish) is an acronym, a word formed from the first letters of several words. It stands for “Jesus Christ God’s Son Savior”–in ancient Greek “Ἰησοῦς Χριστός, Θεοῦ Υἱός, Σωτήρ.”
