Diana Wilcox will go through her first ordination as a Transitional Diaconate by Bishop Mark Beckwith on Saturday, June 2nd at 10am at Trinity & St. Philip’s Cathedral in Newark. Priests serve as deacons first as a reminder that the ministry of a deacon – service to the poor, the lonely, and the sick – is the ministry of all the baptized. Diana is hoping that her St. Luke’s family will be able to attend this beginning of her life as clergy (laity should wear red ties, scarfs, or jackets). If you cannot attend, please keep her in prayer that day.
