Candidate for Memorial Committee
I would be honored to lead Saint Luke’s Memorial Committee, assisting parishioners and non-parishioners alike in creating meaningful, unique gifts in honor of their loved one.
Along with the committee I would work to generate new, creative, and timely opportunities of all scales to offer those wishing to make a gift. As we know, the traditional ministries – the tried and true “low hanging fruit” if you will – may still be relevant and in need of support, but I’m inspired to listen, brainstorm, and try to turn over new stones to see where Christ leads us in blessing others with our monetary gifts.
Over our roughly eight years at St. Luke’s I have served on the Vestry, Caring Community, and Graceful Grounds ministry teams. I have also led the Welcoming Committee, taught Sunday School, assisted with Joan Mayo’s amazing Coffee Hour team, and helped develop various fundraisers.
Outside of SLE, I serve as Secretary on the Executive Board of the West Orange Women’s Club and lead the Senior Matters Committee, which strives to improve the quality of life for the older citizens in the township. Serving as Scoutmaster for a mixed boys and girls Scouts BSA Troop and serving on the Troop committee also keeps me engaged in our community.
Along with my husband, John, we operate Ginocchio Architecture and I do freelance architectural PR, marketing and event work. However, while all of this is incredibly wonderful, being mother to Lucca (17) and Annika (14) gives me the greatest sense of purpose, accomplishment, and joy!
When I find myself with unscheduled time, I enjoy hiking, backpacking and kayaking as well as museums, theater, sewing, photography and reading historical non-fiction.
