Angela Durham

Vestry Class of 2027

Dear All,

My name is Angela Durham. I’m one of the candidates for St. Luke’s Vestry Class of 2027. It’s been my joy to get to know our congregation over the last few years and it would be an even greater joy to more directly support our work together. In case we haven’t personally met, I joined St Luke’s at the beginning of the pandemic. Still, you may recognize my face from one of the cook teams at coffee hour, leading the DEI discussion for the film, Rustin, leading a Meditative Hike with Julia or maybe even polishing up the pews! In fact, I reaffirmed my Faith here just last Spring.

I do have formal vestry experience, having served at St. John’s here in Montclair where my daughter was both baptised and confirmed. During our years at St John’s, I also served as Clerk and actively supported our ministries feeding the homeless through MESH, providing emergency shelter for women at Real House, and leading conversations on diversity and equity as part of our adult learning programs among others. I’m still quite active in the Tuesday Knitting Group.

Learning is my passion and I bring that to every aspect of my life – professionally and personally. It would be my joy and honor to continue helping us grow as a community as we seek to serve the Lord.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I value the opportunity to connect.

Yours in Faith,
Angela
