\"Christianity<\/p>\n

Join us beginning on October 2 at 7:00 p.m. for a course on Christianity and Islam. The course will be held as a series on October 2, 9, 16, 23, and November 6 at 7:00 p.m.This seminar will focus on the ways in which the Christian and Islamic views of the world, history and faith are similar and different, as well as the ways in which the two great religions have\u00a0influenced\u00a0one another. Participants will discuss the teachings of both Jesus and Muhammad in the light of one another. We will also explore how those\u00a0teachings\u00a0can be or may have been distorted, or even undermined, by groups or persons within each\u00a0religion. And, we will compare the ways in which the New Testament and the Qur\u2019an approach history.\u00a0We take neither a “how-to-convert-Muslims” nor a “we’re-all-the-same-underneath” approach.\u00a0 Instead, we will seek a better understanding of two\u00a0of\u00a0the world’s great faiths.<\/p>\n

Group size is limited.\u00a0Cost of \u201cChristianity & Islam\u201d text by Ronn Kerr is $5. Discussions will be led\u00a0by Mike Peinovich and Gordon Frey, but active participation by all members is welcome and expected.\u00a0 A\u00a0\u00a0frequent comment from participants who have used this curriculum before is that they learned as much about their own faith as about the other.<\/p>\n
