{"id":335,"date":"2012-05-25T23:38:21","date_gmt":"2012-05-26T03:38:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/site.slechurch.org\/?page_id=335"},"modified":"2022-04-28T14:20:33","modified_gmt":"2022-04-28T18:20:33","slug":"christ-child-project","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/slechurch.org\/?page_id=335","title":{"rendered":"Rosanne Morey Christ Child Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\"><em>&#8220;Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and will be repaid in full.&#8221; \u00a0Proverbs 19:17<\/em><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>St. Luke\u2019s has a longstanding tradition of providing gifts during the holidays for families and individuals who find themselves in need. \u00a0We do this by working with several organizations with whom we have an especially warm relationship. \u00a0Our dear friend, the late Rosanne Morey, had championed these initiatives for many years. \u00a0The project, known as the Christ Child Project, was renamed in 2010 to the Rosanne Morey Christ Child Project in her honor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>There are many ways to participate in the Project:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022<strong> Sponsor a family for Christmas<\/strong> \u2013 The Youth Consultation Service in East Orange, NJ provides highly-structured support to children with special needs.\u00a0 You gift helps St. Luke\u2019s sponsor multiple families of YCS children.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <strong>Purchase a Gift for Apostle&#8217;s House<\/strong> \u2013 Apostle\u2019s House in Newark provides transitional housing to adult men.
