If trained, they can also serve as a thurifer (one who carries the incense).&nbsp; It is a wonderful way to participate in the worship service.&nbsp; All ages, once old enough to carry the torch (approx. 9yrs and up) are welcome to be a part of this ministry.&nbsp; Training is required.&nbsp; For more information, contact Martha Thalheimer at <a href=\"mailto:thalheimer@slechurch.org\">thalheimer@slechurch.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To join, the time commitment is usually one Sunday morning per month.
