2025 Convention Deputy<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

My life as a cradle Episcopalian began by being baptized in Newark\u2019s Trinity Cathedral by then-Dean Arthur Lichtenberger, who later became the Presiding Bishop. We moved to Glen Ridge and were enthusiastic members of Christ Church. Our lives focused around the church and its many ministries.<\/p>

My husband and I met at Eagle\u2019s Nest Episcopal Camp in Delaware, NJ. After living in Montclair for a few years we moved later to New York City to balance work and family life, and I joined St Bartholomew\u2019s church. I was elected to the Vestry for two non-consecutive six-year terms and during five of those years I was the Treasurer. I served on several committees, and during covid initiated the practice of Centering Prayer, which I continue to lead still on zoom.<\/p>

In December 2022, I moved from NYC, after my husband passed and after covid. Immediately, I found and loved St Luke\u2019s church. Its mission of \u201cJoyfully Seeking and Serving Christ\u201d really appealed to me. The community is very welcoming and I felt at home. I enjoy serving on the Finance Committee, being in a Breaking Bread group and coordinating the Coffee Hour ministry teams.<\/p>

My career was in accounting, auditing and financial control. After receiving an MBA in accounting from Rutgers University I worked at one of the \u201cBig Eight\u201d accounting firms and then at two global banks. I recently retired and enjoy life in Montclair. I have a daughter who is married and a son who has three children and one granddaughter.<\/p>

It is an honor to be considered as a candidate for Deputy to the Diocesan Convention. Of all the things I have done in the church, I have never gone to a convention and I look forward to serving
