In 2016 when I lived in Houston, I was received into the Episcopal Church by the Bishop of Texas, C. Andrew Doyle. At that time, I attended Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Kingwood, TX, where I continued my service as a Worship Leader for the New Light family service, Lector, and also served as a Delegate to the Diocesan Convention.<\/div><div>After moving back to my home state of NJ, I searched for a new church home. How lucky I feel to have found St. Luke&#8217;s!! Such a wonderful, vibrant church community. I met individually with John shortly after attending my first service and we spoke about the things he was envisioning for the parish. I offered my service and the next thing I knew, I was asked to serve on the Coffee Hour ministry team. It&#8217;s been a great experience and I am grateful to have the opportunity to help provide fellowship after the 10 am service each Sunday.<\/div><div>Being asked to serve on the Vestry was not something I expected; however, I have always believed that if someone sees something in me, call it potential or willingness, I try my very best to answer the call.\u00a0<\/div><div>By day, I am a Substance Abuse Counselor. Prior to that, I held many roles in the corporate space, including owning and operating a corporate leadership training company.
