data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>I have been a member of St. Luke\u2019s Church over 10 years now.\u00a0 We began our search for a church many years ago and found that St. Luke\u2019s had everything that we needed in a church.\u00a0 I have three children, N\u2019Adom (23), Chaye (19), and Afia (13).\u00a0 I found that the church had something to offer each and every one of us at a time in our lives when we each needed something different.\u00a0 We have participated in a number of youth ministry gatherings ranging from Elementary and Middle school\u00a0 retreats at Cross Roads Camp and Retreat Center to Youth Choir and Vacation Bible School at St. Luke\u2019s Church in the summers.\u00a0 I grew up in the Episcopalian church and have always found that my comfort zone remains within this religion, generally, and within this church, specifically.\u00a0<\/p><p>I have been the Queen Pumpkin, leading the annual pumpkin patch effort for more than five years to raise funds for the youth ministry of St. Luke\u2019s and the Navajo community who farm the pumpkins.\u00a0 The pumpkin patch has also been a phenomenal community outreach effort, bringing many of our neighbors into the fold of the St Luke\u2019s family.\u00a0 For nearly four years now, I have also been an active member of the Cross Roads Development Council which helps to raise funds for the Cross Roads Camp and Retreat center for our youth and adults looking for additional spiritual enrichment. \u00a0\u00a0I have recently been helping out behind the scenes of our zoom worships as a virtual verger.\u00a0 I am looking forward to helping as an usher, both virtually and physically.\u00a0 I have come to know so many members of this parish and have been very fond of Father John, his sermons, the youth ministry, the music program and much more!<\/p><p>I love this St. Luke\u2019s family so much and would be excited to serve on the Vestry for a second
