I am a PK (preacher\u2019s kid) raised in the National Baptist tradition, with African Methodist Episcopals and Presbyterians stretching back 5 known generations. I married an Anglican, whose family\u2019s faith traditions extend well into the 19th century. My church cred is deep and broad.<\/p>\n<p>A 30-year resident of Montclair, I have worshiped at St. Luke\u2019s for more than 5 years after 10 years at Christ Church in East Orange, NJ. My father-in-law\u2019s decades of service on the vestry and as an usher there is an inspiration. We serve.<\/p>\n<p>When the pandemic shut St. Luke\u2019s doors, I volunteered as a virtual verger to do my part. It is a joy and an honor.<\/p>\n<p>With two grown-ish children and an empty next, I am honored to be asked to serve.
