Growing-up in the Episcopal Church, my parents were very active, in Altar Guild, Episcopal Church Women, Health Guild, Vestry, finance committee, the choir, and multiple ministry activities. They instilled in me the importance of being a disciple by doing.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">I joined St. Luke\u2019s in November 2016 and love being a part of this unique community. The rich \u00a0worship, music, and fellowship feed my soul. I continue to miss our pre-pandemic church life, but it has been great to continue to worship together in our hybrid environment.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">I am delighted to continue to serve as warden. I offer strong listening skills, enthusiasm, positivity, and the desire to work with others knowing our diversity of gifts and perspectives enrich St. Luke\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Besides worship I also enjoy being a part of our welcome ministry team and volunteering at Toni\u2019s&#8211; occasionally the Kitchen but regularly with Toni\u2019s Closet: a Second Time Around Shop. Not only is it a wonderful way to engage with members of the community &#8212; it is well stocked with incredible finds. I am a loyal customer as well \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">A Rehabilitation Counselor by training, for the majority of my career I worked providing vocational counseling to individuals with disabilities. In recent years I transitioned into Human Resources and currently handle leaves of absence and medical accommodations. My husband Matthew and I are empty nesters who live in Maplewood.
