I am a cradle Anglican and have been an Episcopalian for the past 19 years. My family and I moved to West Orange, NJ during the summer of 2018. We have been coming to St. Luke\u2019s since October 2018 (we attended a service and just knew that it was the place for us).<\/p>\n

Since starting to attend services and prior to the pandemic, I have been ushering and my wife is on the coffee hour rotation. I am also on the Foundations Committee. During the pandemic, I have been a virtual usher and my wife has been a virtual verger.<\/p>\n

We have been increasing our involvement in St. Luke\u2019s and when the opportunity arose to put my name up as a delegate for the annual council, I raised my hand.<\/p>\n

At our prior parish of St. Barnabas, Annandale VA, I was the first teacher of the Rite-13 group as we kicked of the Journey to Adulthood Program. I was an usher, I served on the vestry (multiple times), Finance Committee, Youth Committee and was treasurer of the Church. We were at St. Barnabas for 17 years. In addition to the roles that I mentioned, I also helped organize a contemporary service on Sunday evenings.<\/p>\n

I have always been drawn to helping with Church activities. As part of the Canterbury Episcopal campus ministry, I was part of the delegation that represented the ministry at the Annual Virginia Diocesan council gathering. As part of that ministry, I was a counselor for the St. Elizabeth\u2019s camp for mild to moderate disabilities persons at Shrinemont, Orkney Springs, VA.<\/p>\n

Having been a delegate and attended council, I have a true appreciation and understanding of the need to appropriately represent St. Luke\u2019s and all that we stand for as well as cherish.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
