A unique, informal series of Reflective Bible Study featuring the African Method format will be held on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm at the church. A form of contemplative prayer introduced some years ago by the African Delegation to the Lambeth Conference of the Anglican Church, it involves reading and reflecting on a passage of Scripture with active sharing among group members. As participants answer for themselves and with their fellows, questions like from what I’ve heard and shared, what do I believe God wants me to do or be? and is God inviting me to change in any Way?, this low-key yet meaningful contemplative experience can be the perfect prelude to the Healing Service that follows at 8:00pm, as well as a rewarding standalone way to inform and deepen one’s faith.
