At St. Luke’s we offer an opportunity for kids of all ages to reach out into the world and serve others throughout the year.
September — Kids in the Kitchen — Sunday, September , 2012 Calling kids of all ages, join us in the Sawtelle Room from 11:30 – 1:00. We will prepare treats and “manna bags” for Toni’s Kitchen. A simple lunch will be served.
October — Food Day –Wednesday, October 24th 2012 — We will be exploring Healthy Halloween eating throughout the day and inviting all the kids of the congregation to join the Junior Choir for dinner at 6pm.
November — Seaman’s Institute Christmas at Sea Project
December — Christ Child Project — December 2, 2012 ( the 1st Sunday of Advent) We will decorate the tree with gift ideas for others, and throughout December we will be collecting gifts for the families of the Theraputic Learning Center and others.
January — Parade of Kings and Queen — Sunday, January 6th 2013 at the 10 am Service. The children of St. Luke’s will dress as Kings and Queens and bring their gifts to the baby during the 10am service. Diapers, Similac, wipes and other items will be collected for North Porch.
February – Souper Bowl Sunday – February 3rd 2013 — Join us as we collect food for Toni’s Kitchen and enjoy a little Football.

March — Easter Bunny Egg Hunt and BBQ — Saturday, March 30th 2013 from 11am – 1pm — We will invite the entire community to join us in our annual egg hunt. Our youth in grades 6 – 12 will prepare the night before ( Friday, March 29th from 7pm to 10pm ) and then assit throughout the day of the event. This is a great opportunity to gain school service hours.
April — Kids in the Kitchen — Sunday, April , 2013 — Calling kids of all ages to join us in the Sawtelle Room from 11:30 – 1:00. We will prepare treats and “manna bags” for Toni’s Kitchen. A simple lunch will be served.
May — Relay for Life – Families are encouraged to participate in Relay together. Youth in grades 6 to 12 will have the opportunity to join the youth team. We will walk into the darkness together as we continue all night to greet the dawn and fight cancer.
June — Relay for Life – Friday, June 17th, 2012 – Our High School Youth will be participating in the West Orange Relay for Life.
July — Coming in 2013– Service week for Youth entering grades 6 to 12. Each day we will serve those in our community by cleaning, painting and aiding our Senior Citizens and others.
August — PRAISE VBS August 13th to 17th 2012 with Kids in the Kitchen activities daily
