Handmade Gifts to Lend and Hand

Toni’s Kitchen was recently featured on NorthJersey.com in a story about how people can help the kitchen without directly giving money. Handmade goods such as hats, freshly grown produce, baking desserts, and even having children make placemats for guests are some of the ways the community steps up for the kitchen. “A lot of times guests feel a little invisible,” said Anne Mernin. During announcements at meals, donors are mentioned by name. “We just want you to know the community is thinking about you in thoughts and prayers. It adds a layer of warmth and respect,” she said.
