Andersen Art Gallery – September 25

St. Luke’s Parishioner and self-taught artist, Jason Andersen, will hold a showing of his work on Friday, September 25, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the Assembly Hall. Free to attend, come peruse his mixed media art, which exemplifies the texture of life. Previously, Jason has shown his work in in New York and New Jersey, and is currently working out of his studio, in Passaic, NJ.

Jason Andersen is a self-taught artist that works in mixed media and oil paintings.  Jason has done multiple show in New York and New Jersey and is currently working out of his studio in Passaic, New Jersey.  He is also a resident of Montclair.

The mixed media pieces on display is an example of the vast texture of life. It is important to reflect on moments of our lives and I’ve used cigar boxes as a medium because of the richness of their structure and also the notion of sitting down with a good cigar is usually used primarily as a time to reflect
