Thank you to all children and adults who helped us with Celebrate! Kids in the Kitchen. Celebrate is our family service at St. Luke’s at 9:00 a.m. on Sundays. The service is brief and hands on. The children are able to get up close and personal with worship and learn the lessons in an easy-to-understand way.
Once a month, after Celebrate! families head down to the Sawtelle Room and Kitchen to prepare dessert together. The hope is that children can spend time together, cooperating, learning team work, and parents can get to know one another more. However, the biggest success is that children learn about helping others, because the dessert they prepare is used as the main dessert for Toni’s Kitchen. We serve meals Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. and Sundays at 5:00 p.m. to the public, no questions asked.
