HackensackUMC Mountainside hospital in Montclair is partnering with the International Rescue Committee in New Jersey (IRC), the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, and Kathleen’s Closet Thrift Store, Montclair Art Museum, Montclair Public Library, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Temple Ner Tamid, Partners for Health Foundation, and Josh Weston to help hundreds of arriving refugees who are being resettled in New Jersey by the IRC. These new arrivals need new and gently-used clothing, small home and kitchen appliances and home furnishings. For questions, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
On Saturday, May 30 from 9am – 3pm (with a rain date of Sunday, May 31)
a Community Food Bank truck will be parked at the Radiation Oncology Parking Lot
1 Bay Avenue, Montclair to accept donations for the IRC
This is a great time to do some, “Spring Cleaning,” and bring your gently used, unneeded items to HackensackUMC Mountainside during the last weekend in May.
A list of the most needed items is provided below. This is also a great time to donate items that you normally would not be able to donate to St. Luke’s 2nd Time Around Shop.
