The Rev. Jerry Racioppi has been called to be the Rector of Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Verona effective May 11, 2015. This is wonderful news for Jerry and a real tribute to the gifts he brings to serving God. Although expected, this is sad news for St. Luke’s and all of those who have shared in his ministry these past two years. Jerry has been such a wonderful presence and inspiring spiritual leader as he has grown in leadership and confidence. Jerry’s last regular Sunday with us will be May 10 and we will send him off in style. However, he will celebrate his ordination into the Priesthood at St. Luke’s on June 6 at 10:00 a.m. and will celebrate his first Eucharist at St. Luke’s on June 7 at the 8:00 a.m. service. He is not going too far away, so I am hopeful that there will be future opportunities for shared programs as well. Please keep Jerry (and Randy) in your prayers during this time of transition and celebration.
