The Wisdom Tree Luncheon Thank You

The Wisdom Tree committee thanks you for your support as we held our first ever, “Wisdom Tree Luncheon” on October 12. We honored all of our parishioners over 75 for their wisdom and life stories. A special thank you goes to everyone who prepared food, organized, washed dishes, set up decorations, interviewed our honorees, and made the event what it was. We so appreciate that our community pulls together to help us to humbly learn what all generations at St. Luke’s have to offer.

But, we are not done! We will be holding another Wisdom Tree event in the Spring of 2015.

About the Wisdom Tree Committee

Under the Caring Community Ministry at St. Luke’s, a smaller ministry has formed called the Wisdom Tree Committee. The symbol of a mature, healthy, tree represents our parishioners who have reached the age of 75 or above, and the fruit of this tree is the wisdom to be handed down to our younger generations. For that to happen, we need to listen more. This ministry will hold two events a year to honor parishioners 75 and above who wish to be included.
