While we are not able to gather together physically, we will gather virtually and spiritually to celebrate Holy Week and Easter.
We are finding new ways to connect with one another and with our faith in this time.
Please take advantage of the Holy Week services listed below by
connecting via Zoom.
Monday, April 6 at 7:00pm – The Gospel of Mark
We will read the entirety of the shortest and earliest Gospel as an opportunity to meditate on the story of Jesus Life. (If you are adept at Zoom and willing to read a chapter, please email John at firstname.lastname@example.org).
Tuesday, April 7 at 7:00pm – Stations of the Cross
Using the images of the stations that were installed in the church at the beginning of Lent, we will meditate on Jesus’ journey to the cross and what that means in our lives. If you are unable to join the Zoom meetings, you may view the slideshow of the Stations of the Cross here.
Wednesday, April 8 at 7:00pm – Evening Prayer
We will gather on-line for Evening Prayer to hold ourselves and our world before God.
Thursday, April 9 at 7:00pm – Maundy Thursday
We will hear Jesus’ mandate to love one another and remember the institution of communion in the Last Supper with the disciples. As the service ends, we will strip the altar and darken the church to just a single candle to remember Jesus’ night in the Garden of Gethsemane before his arrest and crucifixion.
Friday, April 10 at 12:00noon – Good Friday
We will pray through the Good Friday liturgy remembering the hours that Jesus hung on the cross, for us and for our salvation.
Saturday, April 11 12:00noon – Holy Saturday
We will hear the scripture appointed for Holy Saturday.
